Solicitation for Interest in Serving on the Town of Washington Economic Development Committee
There is an opening for community volunteers to serve on the Town of Washington Economic Development Committee.

Purpose
WA2760-012 Boards, Commissions, Committees - Article VI Economic Development Committee
The purpose of such Committee shall be to:
Be under the direction of the Town Board and is advisory to the Town Board on all matters.
Investigate, analyze, and develop, for approval of the Town Board, an Economic Development Plan and Strategy for the Town.
Facilitate the implementation of such Economic Development Plan and Strategy and;
Prior to the development of such Economic Development Plan and Strategy, investigate, analyze and make recommendations to the Town Board with regard to specific economic development activities, projects and strategies and;
If approved by the Town Board, take such actions with respect to such activities, projects and strategies as the Town Board shall authorize from time to time.
Find and identify grant opportunities to further the economic development and infrastructure of the town.
Work with other Committees when applicable to achieve common goals.

A PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
The Economic Development Committee of The Town of Washington
As a result of the four public hearings on March 10th & 12th, the Economic Development Committee is asking for the public's and the property owner’s, of the Town of Washington, their input as to what they want in the Residential Dwelling Rentals as a Short-Term Rentals, STR, legal ordinance.
The public and the property owners of the Town of Washington both have the opportunity to be part of this process.
The public and the property owners of the Town of Washington are to submit to the Economic Development Committee their recommendations, suggestions, guidelines and particulars that both the public and the property owners would like to see in the residential dwelling rental as a short-term rental, STR, legal ordinance.
The Economic Development Committee will incorporate, as much as legally possible, the recommendations, suggestions, guidance, and the particulars from both the public, and the property owners as part of the residential dwelling rental as a short-term rental, STR, legal ordinance.
All submissions must be received no later than May 31, 2025.
