A. Roll Call: Chairman Dutton Morehouse called the meeting to order at 2 p.m. In addition to Morehouse, present were supervisors James VanRamshorst, Elizabeth Holmes, Ronald Overdahl; Joel Gunnlaugsson was excused.
B. Closed Session: to consider employment, compensation and performance evaluation of public employee as authorized under Section 19.85(1) (c) of State of Wisconsin Statutes. Motion: VanRamshorst made a motion to move into closed session at 2:05 PM, Overdahl seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll Call, all ayes.
C. Return to Open Session: Motion: Overdahl made a motion to go back into open session at 2:40PM; VanRamshorst seconded. Roll Call, all ayes.
D. Possible Action based on Closed Session: Morehouse entertained a motion by Holmes seconded by VanRamshorst to appoint Lu Beekman as Deputy Clerk/Secretary of Utility District at a salary of $13.00 beginning Thursday, March 1st. Motion carried unanimously.
E. Purchase of new sink for Community Center kitchen-Discussion, possible Motion: Morehouse gave the history of the issue of the sink and the fact that it has to be certified for food service. Morehouse has a bid for a new sink and faucet from Mann’s Mercantile plus installation and baskets. It was decided to top the expenditure at $2,000.00. Question was raised as to whether or not the Community Center Committee would contribute toward the cost. Motion: Holmes made a motion to purchase the sink and necessary related equipment up to $2,000.00. VanRamshorst seconded the motion. Motion carried. Morehouse stated that if the expenditure requires more than $2,000.00, the Board would be open to a canvass on a higher price. The Board agreed.
VanRamshorst had a contact for restaurant supplies if needed in the future.
F. Adjournment: Motion: Holmes made a motion to adjourn at 2:54; VanRamshorst seconded. Motion carried.
